According to sales‑tracking service TechEpiphany, AMD Radeon graphics cards have overtaken Nvidia GeForce cards in the number of units sold on Amazon in the United States. This is the first time such a reversal has been recorded.

The shift comes as Nvidia reportedly reduces its consumer‑grade GPU output to focus on AI accelerators, leading to higher retail prices for models like the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, which now costs over $700 despite a $429 MSRP. AMD cards have also risen in price but remain considerably cheaper, with the Radeon RX 9070 XT available for about $920 while comparable Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti cards exceed $1,700.
